While nothing’s confirmed, Andy shared that TikTok has been buzzing with rumors about one of the rumored contestants — and let’s just say, it’s not exactly a glowing review.
According to Andy, he received a text that read: “There’s a rumor that this guy named [blank] is filming for Love is Blind right now in Minneapolis. Apparently, he’s dated a ton of women and has a reputation of being abusive, lying, cheating, tricking women into sleeping with him. All of the TikTok girls are rooting against him and posting about it.”
Andy, however, kept it neutral, telling his followers: “I personally don’t know this guy, so I’m not in a place to talk about his character, but I’ve heard enough about it, so I just wanted to share that.” He also pointed out how Minneapolis is a tight-knit community, hinting that this could add some serious drama to the season.
Now, here’s where it gets juicy. Fans quickly put on their detective hats and speculated that the rumored contestant is none other than Ben Mezzenga.
“It’s Ben Mezzenga,” one user claimed. “One of his friends told me he’s on the show.”
Another TikToker backed this up, saying that University of Minnesota athletes, including Ben, are known for their playboy reputations. According to his LinkedIn, Ben graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2019 with a degree in communication and media studies and played for the Gopher baseball team. Post-graduation, he became a licensed realtor in Minneapolis, described on Realtor.com as an “up-and-coming creative mind” with killer communication and negotiation skills.
His profile even boasts: “Pushing the envelope of my own potential every day, I strive to make everything I come in contact with attract attention from everyone. I have developed my skills to provide a clear and simple process of buying and selling houses, and everything that comes with it, to my clients.”
Okay, full disclosure: I don’t want to drag Ben too hard here. From what I’ve seen, he seems like a fun, ambitious guy — and let’s be real, he’s got that “friendly, approachable vibe” going on. But as we all know, being a man who seems foxy doesn’t always (almost never) mean he’s a saint.
After everything we’ve learned from Emily Ceco on Love Is Blind Argentina, we can’t afford to ignore red flags when we see them. For those who might not know, Emily married her partner during the show, but sadly, she later revealed that she was a victim of domestic abuse. As women, it’s always better to stay alert and trust our instincts if something feels off about a guy. After all, prevention is always better than cure — especially when it comes to matters of the heart.
